Dr. Kun BAO is a pediatric surgeon at Jiahui Health and a licensed physician at multiple medical institutes. Dr. Bao received his bachelor’s degree in Clinical Medicine from Shanghai Medical University (now known as Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University) in 1991, and the master’s degree from the Second Military Medical University in 2010. He was trained in bone and joint trauma, orthopedic surgery, hand surgery and microsurgery of extremities, and has accumulated extensive clinical experience after many years of practice. Dr. Bao was a visiting scholar in the Orthopedic Trauma at Unfallkrankenhaus Graz, Austria, the Trauma and Reconstructive Surgery at the St. Vinzenz Hospital, Cologne, Germany, and the Orthopedic Surgery at the Flinders Medical Center, Adelaide, Australia. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of limb trauma.
Since he started the practice of pediatric orthopedics in 2006, Dr. Bao has successfully adopted minimally invasive technology to treat limb fractures in children. Mentored by Prof. Chen Bochang, the former Chief of Pediatric Orthopedics at the Xinhua Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, and Prof. Yang Jianping, Chair of the Chinese Professional Society of Pediatric Orthopedics, Dr. Bao is skilled in the treatment of pediatric hip dysplasia and congenital clubfoot.
