Dr. TAN Weifeng serves as a Multi-site practice surgeon at Jiahui Health. He is a professor of Hepato-Biliary and Pancreatic (HBP) surgery with a professional title of Chief Physician. Dr. Tan obtained his bachelor’s, master’s and Ph.D. degrees from the Second Military Medical University. At the Oriental Hepatobiliary Surgery Hospital Affiliated to the Second Military Medical University, he worked as a resident, fellow and attending physician in the Second Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery, an associate chief physician and associate professor in the Department of Biliary Surgery, and the party branch secretary and head of the Endoscopic Surgery department. From 2015 to 2016, he worked as a visiting scholar at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, USA. 

Since July 2019, Dr. Tan has been the director of Liver Surgery Department of East branch and West branch of Renji Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. In 2005, he started clinical work in liver transplantation for end-stage hepatobiliary diseases, such as decompensated cirrhosis, cirrhosis combined with liver cancer, cirrhosis combined with hilar cholangiocarcinoma, biliary cirrhosis, and so on. Since 2013, he has carried out laparoscopic right hepatectomy, laparoscopic extended left hepatectomy, laparoscopic radical resection of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma combined with caudate lobectomy, laparoscopic radical resection of hilar cholangiocarcinoma and lower cholangiocarcinoma, laparoscopic choledochocystectomy, hepatobiliary plastic cholangiojejunostomy, and laparoscopic pancreatic tumor radical resection and other major surgical breakthroughs. During his medical career, Dr. Tan has received more than 4 million yuan from various types of funding, published more than 30 papers, participated in the compilation of 3 monographs, won 3 third prizes for military medical achievements, and obtained 4 national invention patents. He is the president of the hepatobiliary endoscopic surgeon’s alliance of Wu Mengchao Medical Science and Technology Foundation, the director of the hepatobiliary endoscopic surgeon volunteers’ foundation of Beijing Century Charity Foundation, the General Secretary of the China Metastatic Liver Cancer Professional Committee of the International Hepato-Pancreato Biliary Association, a member of the medical equipment development promotion working committee of the China Medical Education Association, a member of the China laparoscopic hepatectomy of the International Hepato-Pancreato Biliary Association, a member of the intelligent medicine professional committee of Chinese Research Hospital Association, and a procurement review expert of Shanghai municipal government. 

In 2011, Dr. Tan was selected as New Youth Talent by Shanghai Health Commission. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of difficult diseases in hepatobiliary surgery, especially in the minimally invasive treatment of hepatobiliary diseases and liver transplantation for end-stage hepatobiliary diseases.
