Dr. Xin CHENG received her bachelor’s degree in Clinical Medicine from Shanghai Medical College, Fudan University (previously Shanghai Medical University) in 2003, and PhD in Neurology from Fudan University in 2009. Since her graduation, Dr. Cheng has worked for more than 10 years in the Neurology Department at Huashan Hospital, Fudan University. She is an associate chief physician and master’s tutor. Dr. Cheng was a visiting scholar in Alzheimer’s disease at Sun Health Research Institute, AZ, USA from Nov. 2007 to Dec. 2008, and a visiting associate professor in the Neurology Department at the Massachusetts General Hospital, MA, USA from Sep. to Dec. 2015. She has been the principal investigator of six grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Ministry of Education of China, and Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality. Dr. Cheng authored more than 70 peer-reviewed publications, 1 book and 3 national guidelines or Expert Consensus, and was awarded American Academy of Neurology’s 2009 and 2010 International Scholarship Award. She is a member of the Shanghai Rising-Star Program and the Outstanding Young Talent Program.
Dr. Cheng has more than 10 years of experience in clinical practice, mainly in charge of the green channel for acute stroke rescue at Huashan Hospital. She specializes in medical diagnosis and treatment of the following diseases and health problems:
• Cerebrovascular diseases, including ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, cerebral small vessel disease, hereditary cerebrovascular diseases, etc.
• Cognitive impairment, including memory loss, mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, etc.
• Intractable neurological diseases.
