Dr. David YU currently serves as an otolaryngologist of Jiahui Health. Dr. Yu received his Bachelor of Medicine from Shandong Medical University. And afterwards, he received Master of Medicine and Ph.D. degrees from Fudan University Shanghai Medical College, Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine, respectively. He completed his residency training in Otolaryngology at Shanghai General Hospital. Prior to joining Jiahui, he served as Deputy Director of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Shanghai General Hospital, as well as Professor of Nanjing Medical University, and served as the supervisor of master student of Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine, and Nanjing Medical University. He has been in Yale University School of Medicine as a visiting scholar for two years under the sponsorship of China Scholarship Council, and finished his fellowship training program at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, US in 2009, and at Royal National Throat Nose & Ear Hospital, UK in 2010, respectively.

With more than 30 years of clinical experience in Otolaryngology, Dr. Yu specialized in surgical treatment of head and neck carcinoma, including larynx and hypopharynx and thyroid, etc, and surgery of voice disorder.

Dr. Yu is board certified in Chinese Medical Association, branch of Otolaryngology. Dr. Yu is Committee member of Voice Unit, Branch of Otolaryngology, China Medical Association, committee member of Branch of Otolaryngology, Shanghai Medical Association, China, and deputy Director, Voice Unit, Branch of Otolaryngology, Shanghai Medical Association, China. He’s also the standing Committee member of Voice and Layngology Unit, as well as committee member, Skull Base Unit of China International Exchange and Promotive Association for Medical and Health Care. Meanwhile, he’s also Committee member, Chinese Chapter, of Pan Asia Academy of Facial Plastic Reconstruction Surgery. And more recently he has been selected as Vice Chairman of Head and Neck Cancer Unit, Shanghai Anti-Cancer Association since 2019. He’s editorial board member of Journal of Audiology and Speech Pathology, as well as corresponding editorial board member of Chinese Journal of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. He’s peer-reviewed expert of the national natural science fund committee.
