Dr. ZHU Bin is currently the Chief of Anesthesiology, Acting Chief of ICU at Jiahui Health. Dr. Bin Zhu studied at Chongqing Medical University and China Union Medical College from 1998 to 2004, and received his master's degree and doctoral degree in anesthesiology. He conducted postdoctoral research at Duke University in the United States from 2006/8 to 2008/7. From 2011/1 to 2011/6, sponsored by the first batch of "Hundred Talents Program" of Peking Union Medical College Hospital", he studied cardiac anesthesia and transesophageal echocardiograph (TEE) at Duke University Heart Center. From 2004 to 2015, he worked in the Department of Anesthesiology at Peking Union Medical College Hospital as chief physician and he was former secretary of the Department of Anesthesiology and head of the Clinical Safety and Anesthesia Quality Control Program. He was the first to introduce the "WHO Surgical Safety Checklist" to China and served as the first secretary of the Anesthesia Quality Control Center of National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China. From 2016 to 2021, he worked at Peking University International Hospital/Peking University Eighth Clinical College as the deputy director of the department.

Dr. Zhu Bin has been committed to clinical anesthesia, specializing in perioperative evaluation and management of critically ill patients, anesthesia for cardiothoracic and great vascular surgery, and TEE. In the past 3 years, over 1,000 TEE checks have been independently and comprehensively performed by Dr. Zhu. He is an expert of the TEE Expert Group of the Chinese Society of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia (CSCTVA) and one of the experts who wrote the first expert consensus on perioperative TEE monitoring in China. Dr. Zhu Bin is one of the editing experts of the "Expert Consensus on the Application of Transesophageal Echocardiography in Non-Cardiac Surgery (2020)"; he is the leader and keynote lecturer of two TEE national-level continuing education projects.

The main academic positions of Dr. Zhu Bin include: Member of patient safety and Medical Quality Committee of World Association of Chinese Doctors(WACD)；Vice Chairman of the Non-Cardiac Surgery Anesthesia Society, Secretary-General of the Ultrasound Society, and Standing Member of the Cardiovascular Anesthesia Society of CSCTVA; Vice chairman and Anesthesia Group Director of the Maternal and Child Trauma Specialty Committee of the Chinese Association for Improving Birth Outcome and Child Development; Editor of Chinese version of Newsletter of "Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation" in the United States; Editorial board member of the Chinese edition of Anesthesia & Analgesia, and editorial board member of the Chinese Journal of anesthesiology.
