Dr. XIAO joined the Department of Pediatrics, Ruijin Hospital affiliated with the School of Medicine, Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2006, where he is currently serving as the Deputy Director of Pediatrics, Chief Physician, and Graduate Student Advisor.

Dr. XIAO is skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric endocrine and gastrointestinal diseases, including growth and developmental delays, precocious puberty, delayed puberty, diabetes, adrenal and thyroid disorders. In addition, he is experienced in allergic colitis and proctitis, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), pancreatitis, early onset IBD, endoscopic sclerotherapy, vascular malformations and hemangiomas in children.

Dr. XIAO holds various social positions, including Youth Member of the Endocrinology and Genetic Metabolism Group of the Pediatric Branch of the Chinese Medical Association (17th and 18th sessions), Deputy Director of the Youth Group of the Adolescent Medicine Committee of the Chinese Medical Doctor’s Association (1st and 2nd sessions), Member of the Pediatric Gastroenterology Group of the Pediatric Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor’s Association, Member of the Genetics Group of the Adolescent Medicine Committee of the Chinese Medical Doctor’s Association, Member of the Pediatric Gastroenterology Group of the Endoscopy Committee of the Chinese Medical Doctor’s Association, Deputy Director of the Pediatric Collaboration Group of the Gastroenterology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, Executive Committee Member of the Pediatric Gastroenterology Minimally Invasive Group of the China Maternal and Child Health Association, Member of the Gene Diagnosis and Precision Medicine Committee of the China Association of Birth Health Sciences, Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Contemporary Pediatrics and Communication, and Editorial Board Member of the Chinese Journal of Pediatrics.
