Dr. XIONG Jie, MD, PhD, Associate Chief Physician and Associate Professor at Tongji University, Master’s Supervisor. He currently practices in the Department of Gastroenterology at Shanghai Tongji Hospital, affiliated with Tongji University.

Dr. XIONG has extensive clinical expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), acute and chronic gastritis, Helicobacter pylori infection, functional gastrointestinal disorders, constipation, inflammatory bowel disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, hepatic insufficiency, cirrhotic varices, biliary tract stones and space-occupying lesions, and pancreatic diseases. He is also skilled in various digestive endoscopic techniques, including EMR, EVL, EVS, ESD, STER, POEM, PEG, EUS, and ERCP.

Dr. XIONG was selected for Shanghai’s "Medical New Star" talent development program. He holds multiple academic appointments, including Committee Member of the Stomach Diseases Working Group and Youth Committee Member of the Colorectal Group under the Chinese Society of Digestive Endoscopy; Youth Committee Member and Secretary of the Esophageal and Gastric Varices Treatment Branch of the Shanghai Medical Association; and Committee Member of the Colorectal Group and Pediatric Endoscopy Group of the Shanghai Society of Digestive Endoscopy. He has led several research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, and Shanghai Municipal Health Commission, in addition to applying for and obtaining multiple invention patents.
