Dr. Aaron HU is an Ultrasound Interventional Physician in the Medical Imaging Center at Shanghai Jiahui International Hospital. He obtained his bachelor's degree from Tianjin Medical University and his doctorate from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. He previously worked in the Department of Ultrasound Medicine at Shanghai General Hospital (affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine). Dr. HU currently serves as a Committee Member of the Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Professional Committee of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association Ultrasound Physician Branch, and as a Committee Member of the Superficial and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Professional Committee of the Ultrasound Branch of the Shanghai Social Medical Institutions Association.
Dr. HU primarily specializes in the diagnosis and interventional treatment of musculoskeletal and peripheral nervous system disorders.
1. Diagnosis of musculoskeletal system diseases, including disorders related to joints of the extremities, such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid/gouty arthritis, adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder), various types of myotendinitis, etc.; as well as sports injuries and trauma-induced joint, muscle, and tendon pathologies.
2. Diagnosis of peripheral nerve disorders, including nerve trauma/intraoperative injury, nerve sheath tumors, and nerve entrapment syndromes. Ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve block therapy, such as for piriformis syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome, etc.
3. Ultrasound-guided minimally invasive interventional treatment for musculoskeletal and nervous system diseases. For example: injection therapy for painful points in conditions like adhesive capsulitis, tenosynovitis, and arthritis; minimally invasive treatment for calcific tendinitis; minimally invasive treatment for ganglion cysts; aspiration of hematomas and effusions; and treatment for nerve entrapment syndromes.
