The Global BNCT Treatment Network was officially established and inaugurated at Jiahui International Cancer Center on April 25. Dr. John Hsiang Chairman of Jiahui Health Executive Committee and founder of the network, attended the launch ceremony and unveiled the plaque. This collaboration marks a critical bridge built by Jiahui Health to connect Chinese cancer patients with cutting-edge global treatment solutions.
Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT) is an innovative dual-target radiotherapy that integrates biological targeting and radiation targeting capabilities. Renowned for its high precision and high efficacy, it has garnered widespread attention in the global oncology sector. Southern Tohoku BNCT Research Center in Japan, one of the network’s founding members, is Japan’s first medical institution to deliver BNCT treatment. It records the highest number of BNCT clinical cases nationwide and has spearheaded the inclusion of BNCT in Japan’s national health insurance, establishing it as a routine clinical treatment option. Currently, BNCT is primarily indicated for recurrent and inoperable head and neck tumors.
The Radiation Oncology Department of Jiahui Health Cancer Center has officially launched a dedicated BNCT consultation clinic. Through standardized patient assessment protocols, the center enables direct coordination with international medical institutions, creating a streamlined green channel for patients to access advanced overseas BNCT treatment and receive continuous follow-up care upon their return to China. Moving forward, Jiahui will further expand the network’s institutional members, broaden the applicable treatment indications, and advance the overall capabilities of precision cancer radiotherapy. This effort aims to grant more patients access to internationally standardized, state-of-the-art medical services.
