Dr. GONG Lan is Deputy Director of the Department of Ophthalmology, Director of the Ocular Surface Disease Unit, Professor, Chief Physician, and Doctoral Supervisor at the Eye & ENT Hospital of Fudan University in Shanghai. She also serves as Director of the Drug Clinical Trial Institution Office at the same hospital, Deputy Director of the Fudan University Research Center for Allergy and Related Diseases, and is a Shanghai Outstanding Technical Leader.
Clinical Expertise
•Comprehensive management of various corneal and conjunctival disorders, with special focus on complex cases, including but not limited to: keratitis, corneal ulcers, corneal degeneration, corneal dystrophy (requiring keratoplasty), allergic conjunctivitis, acute conjunctivitis, bacterial conjunctivitis, and viral conjunctivitis (pink eye).
•Pterygium surgery with amniotic membrane transplantation or conjunctival autograft.
•Personalized treatment for dry eye disease and chemical burns, as well as lacrimal duct intubation interventions.
•Botulinum toxin injection and surgical correction for trichiasis and blepharospasm.
