Dr. Jian Wang currently serves as a Physician in Family Medicine and Health Management Center as well as Palliative Care Program Director in Jiahui Health. Dr. Wang obtained her medical degree in 1985 from Shandong Medical College (now known as Shandong University, School of Medicine). In 1998, she went to the Prince of Wales Hospital affiliated to University of New South Wales, Australia and obtained her PhD in Cardiovascular Medicine in 1993. Then she worked at St. George Hospital, Westmead Hospital in Sydney, Australia, and Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research, San Antonio, US as a scientist. She had more than 60 publications in SCI journals.
Dr. Wang completed the residency training in Family Medicine from 2003 to 2006 at the University of Texas, Houston. Then she completed geriatric fellowship training from 2006 to 2007 at the Baylor College of Medicine. She is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine in Family Medicine, Geriatric Medicine and Hospice/Palliative Care Medicine.
Dr. Wang established JMAX Clinic (Family Medicine) in 2007. Meanwhile she worked as a faculty physician in Geriatric Medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine. From Oct 2008 to Sep 2019 she worked at the Extended Care Service, Veteran’s Affairs New Jersey Health Care System. Dr. Wang has rich experience in preventive medicine, anti-aging, chronic disease management, geriatric medicine and Palliative care/Hospice medicine. Dr. Wang emphasizes the importance of continuity of care and acts as an effective health care coordinator.
