With the improving quality of modern life and changing lifestyles, people's emphasis on medical health and desire for personalized medical treatment have only increased. General practitioners are derived from modern western medicine and are based on a human-centered medical management model. That includes coordinating various specialist referrals, international referrals, and tracking rehabilitation follow-up after patients have been discharged. We work alongside every department at Jiahui Health to provide caring service for the whole family, from ordinary outpatient and inpatient treatment to home care.

Family Medicine Fellowship Enhancement Program
Jiahui Health’s mission is to provide high-quality medical service to families and communities according to professional international standards. In the past few years, Jiahui has recruited international physicians in different professional fields and has established the international medical service team in Shanghai. Jiahui is committed to build an integrated medical, teaching and research network, focusing on long-term training of medical and health professionals, and promoting medical research and development in China. In order to meet the diverse array of international Health service needs in Shanghai, Jiahui launched a Full-Time “Family Medicine Fellowship Enhancement Program” in 2018 to allow physicians who have already completed the standardized training to strengthen their professional clinical skills and improve their multilingual communication skills. After years of polishing, we continue to improve our teaching quality and personnel training mechanism in accordance with World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA) training standards, and produce excellent family medicine physicians with international perspectives who are ready to serve at Jiahui and other medical institutions nationwide.
Jiahui Family Medicine Fellowship Enhancement Program lasts 24 months, and we select only the most outstanding young family medicine physicians to participate. It includes practice-based training under the supervision of senior local and international physicians to develop young family medicine physicians’ patient-centered and ethical competency. We also aim to improve their professional clinical skills, critical thinking, and evidence-based medicine practice. In the Jiahui Health system, the trainees we hire include outstanding family medicine physicians from all over the world, including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, and France. Our training physicians have their own family medicine clinic base and rotate in various specialties at the same time. We also cooperate with a number of teaching hospitals to use the advantages of our partners to enrich and strengthen the clinical practical skills of our trainees. Our training modes are diverse, including AHA-certified first aid courses, practical workshops (such as surgical treatment, communication skills, etc.), UpToDate clinical support resources, NEJM Knowledge + question bank, American Family Physician Association membership services (including American Family Doctor Magazine), accompanying Jiahui family medicine physicians during inpatient rounds, case study sharing, etc.
