LI Jun, MD,PhD,FEBS
Dr. LI Jun is Chief of General Surgery, Chief of Surgical Oncology at the Shanghai Jiahui International Hospital.
Dr. Li graduated at the Shanghai Medical University (now Fudan University), having the internship at Zhongshan Hospital and the Master degree at Cancer Hospital, Shanghai Medical University. He received the MD degree at the University of Essen in Germany and further the surgical training thereafter. He built his career in four prestigious European University Hospitals (Essen, London, Tübingen, Hamburg), with specialty of Surgery, General Surgery, Visceral Surgery, Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary Surgery and Transplantation. Prior to Jiahui, he was in charge of Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary Surgery at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, one of the five “Center of Excellence for Liver Surgery (DGAV)” in Germany.
Dr. Li has fundamental interesting in the surgical treatment of liver, biliary tract and pancreas disease. He made many surgical innovations. Some of them were published in the international prestigious journal. Applying the transplant technique and strategy on the treatment of cancers (as the part of transplant oncology) and performing minimal invasive surgery including robotic surgery (Da Vinci) are his current main focuses.
Dr. Li specializes in surgical techniques including but not limited to:
● Treatment of hepato-pancreatico-biliary malignancy, especially HCC, intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, perihilar cholangiocarcinom, gall bladder cancer, pancreas cancer and complex resection and reconstruction, including surgical palliation.
● Treatment of benign diseases of liver, biliary tract and pancreas, such as gall stone disease, iatrogenic biliary injury, intrahepatic stone disease, cystic liver lesion, portal hypertension. Many surgeries could be performed laparoscopically. Large part of liver benign tumor may not require a surgery. Some patients with jaundice can be treated non-surgically.
● Treatment of peritoneal and retroperitoneal tumor, which requiring reconstruction of large or small vessels, biliary tract, intestinal and even ureter.
● Treatment of gastro-intestinal tumor, including gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, tumor of the small bowel, gastrointestinal stromal tumor.
● Lymph nodes biopsy and lymphadnectomy in the area of neck, axillar, groin, abdomen or pelvis.
● Varies of laparoscopic operation, including liver resection, distal pancreas resection, gastrointestinal resection and reconstruction, cholecystectomy and hernia repair.
Dr. Li has wide international connection and reputation. He is the member of German Surgical Society, German Transplant Society, European Society of Transplantation, International Society of Transplantation, European Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary Association, International European Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary Association.

Danny DONG, MD
Dr. Danny DONG is currently serving as Deputy Chief of Orthorpedic and Sports Medicine in Jiahui Health. Dr. Dong graduated from Shanghai Medical University in 1998 with a bachelor degree in Clinical Medicine and then he joined the Department of Orthopedics of Shanghai First People's Hospital. In 2005, he obtained a master degree from Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University. He has been to the Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, USA, and Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, USA as a fellow to learn spine surgery. Prior to joining Jiahui, Dr. Dong worked in the Department of Orthopedics, Shanghai First People's Hospital, served as an associate chief physician and Head of Spinal Surgery, associate professor and postgraduate supervisor. Dr. Dong has 20 years of clinical experience, advocating "patient-centered" philosophy. He is proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of common diseases of spinal surgery, and especially specializes in minimally invasive spinal surgery, such as minimally invasive keyHole decompression on cervical radiculopathy, posterior lumbar minimally invasive fusion technique, microscopic lumbar discectomy, percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy and so on.
Dr. Dong has presided over and completed several national-level and bureau-level scientific research projects, and published more than ten papers on core journals and SCI papers. He is currently a member of the Minimally Innovative Group of the Orthopedic Committee of the Chinese Medical Association Shanghai Branch, a member of the International Education Working Group of the Spinal Training of the Orthopedic Professional Committee of the China Medical Education Association, a member of the Minimally Invasive Orthopedic Committee of the Shanghai Association of Integrative Medicine, a member of Spine Committee of the Shanghai Community Health Association, a young member of the Spinal Medicine Committee of the Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine, and the member of the first session of Shanghai Branch of the Chinese Society of SICOT.

HE Jiye(External Specialist), MD
Dr. HE Jiye serves as a multi-practice orthopedic surgeon in Jiahui Health. Dr. He obtained his master degree in Surgery and Ph.D. degree in Orthopedics in Shanghai Jiaotong University, School of Medicine in 2006 and 2011. He was employed by Smith&Nephew as a young lecturer. He has studied in the United States twice as a visiting scholar and conducted advanced training in arthroscopy in Singapore and South Korea several times.
Dr. He has rich clinical work experience. He has been engaged in clinical work of orthopedic trauma, shoulder and elbow surgery and sports medicine for 15 years, with nearly 1,000 surgeries every year, among which there are 600 cases of various types of trauma and limb fracture surgery and 400 cases of arthroscopic surgery. His diagnosis and treatment has been praised and praised by a large number of patients.

John K. HSIANG, MD, PhD
Dr. John K. HSIANG is the Chairman of Jiahui Executive Committee.
Dr. Hsiang received his MD and Ph.D. degrees from University of Chicago. He completed his internship and residency training in Neurosurgery at University of California San Diego. Prior to joining Jiahui Health, he served as Director of Neurosurgery at Swedish Neuroscience Institute in Seattle. With his more than 20 years of clinical experience in Neurosurgery, Dr. Hsiang specialized in minimally invasive spine surgery, lateral lumbar interbody fusion, and cervical arthroplasty.
Dr. Hsiang is board certified in American Board of Neurological Surgery, and American Board of Spine Surgery. He is also a member of American College of Physician Executives, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, North American Spine Society and American College of Spine Surgeons.
Moreover, Dr. Hsiang engages in the worldwide Chinese Neurosurgery Conferences and Spine Conferences to enhance the influential and status of Chinese physicians in neurosurgery and spine surgery. Dr. Hsiang is also the Vice Chairman of International Chinese Spine Society and a member of the Orthopedics Committee of the Chinese Association in Non-Public Medical Institutions. He is committed to encourage development and cooperation of Neurosurgery and Spine surgery in China.
Louis PAN, MD, PhD
Dr. Louis PAN is the Section Head of Endocrine Surgery, as attending surgeon in Department of General Surgery of Jiahui Health.
He obtained his PhD degree in General Surgery from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, with a research interest in minimally invasive surgical technology. He has published more than ten academic research articles on major professional journals, including Chinese local and international peer review journals (SCI). Based on his research, Dr. Pan published papers and gave presentations at a number of international academic conferences (including 2015 World Congress of Surgery (WCS) and 2016 Digestive Disease Week® (DDW)). Dr. Louis PAN obtained his master's degree in Surgery from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in 2005, during which he completed the internship and surgical training program in Hôpital Civil in Strasbourg, France.
With more than twenty years of clinical practice in surgical department, he has extensive experience in treating common diseases in general surgery, such as surgical operations on thyroid/parathyroid gland diseases, laparoscopic operations on biliary system and abdominal wall hernia's, etc. He has also played important role in metabolic and bariatric treatment program, as a surgeon for bariatric surgery.
He holds the certificate of Da Vinci robotic surgical system.
Dr. Louis PAN specializes in treating various diseases, including but not limited to:
• Thyroid/parathyroid conditions (benign and malignant), including using endoscopic approach without scar left in neck.
• Abdominal wall hernia, especially using minimally invasive surgical approach, laparoscopic hernia repair.
• Digestive diseases which need surgical interventions including emergent procedures, like biliary calculosis, benign gastrointestinal tumors and inflammatory disorders (appendicitis, diverticulitis, etc.)

Tibor KOVACS (External Specialist), MD, PhD, FRCS, FEBS
Dr. Tibor KOVACS MD, PhD, FRCS, FEBS Surgical Oncology, FEBS Breast Surgery, is the Honorary Chief of Breast Institute at Jiahui Health, and the Honorary Professor of Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center. He is specialized in breast cancer and reconstructive surgery, specializing in complex oncoplastic breast conservation techniques, immediate breast reconstruction and risk reduction surgery for high familial risk patients. Dr. Kovacs is a European Board Certified Surgical Oncologist and Breast Cancer Surgeon. Prior to joining Jiahui Health, Dr. Kovacs has worked at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust Breast Unit in London.
As a surgeon in breast cancer surgical research, Dr. Kovacs continues to work on innovations in breast cancer treatment that allow for the reconstruction of the breast as well as the treatment of the breast cancer. He promoted new technologies such as radio-guided surgery and breast reconstruction based on dermal flaps and biological meshes to achieve more natural beauty to achieve better aesthetic results without compromising the oncological safety of breast cancer surgery. He has developed at Guy’s Hospital a novel reconstructive technique called the pre-pectoral implant reconstruction which gives less side effects, quicker recovery and aesthetic results as well.
Dr. Kovacs has been involved in exploring and trialing novel techniques for identification and localization of non-palpable breast lesions with the scope of better patient journey, more precise localization. These techniques aim to reduce the re-operation rates for involved surgical margins and also to offer better patient satisfaction.
Moreover, Dr. Kovas is President of the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO) for 2018-2020, Chair and founder of the ESSO Oncoplastic Breast Surgery Course, Faculty on several prestigious International Breast Surgery masterclasses and workshops, Examiner for the European Board of Surgery Qualification in Breast Surgery since 2010. He is also Honorary Senior Lecturer at King’s College London and Chair of BRESO the European Breast Surgical Oncologist certification project with the mission of promoting the standardized education and training of surgeons dealing with breast cancer.
Fiona FENG, MD
Dr. Fiona FENG is currently the attending physician of General Surgery at Shanghai Jiahui Medical. Dr. Feng graduated from the Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine in 2011, and then completed standardized residency training at the First Affiliated Hospital of Naval Military Medical University (Shanghai Changhai Hospital). Prior to joining in Jiahui, Dr. Feng worked as am attending physician in the Minimally Invasive and Breast Surgery Department at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Naval Military Medical University (Shanghai Changzheng Hospital). Dr. Feng has been in the medicine field for more than ten years and has accumulated rich clinical experience and operational skills in common and emergency surgical cases. She specializes in general surgery, surgical treatment of thyroid related diseases, digestive tract diseases, perianal diseases, abdominal wall hernias, etc.
Dr. Feng’s major specialties include but not limit to:

Eric LI, MD
Dr. Eric LI is currently the Section Head of Pediatric Surgery at Jiahui Health. He obtained his Master Degree of Pediatrics from Fudan University in 2008, and worked in Shanghai Children's Hospital in the same year. He is the first doctor who performed single port laparoscopic hernia repair and pyloromyotomy in Shanghai Children's Hospital. he was selected to join shanghai young physicians training programme and was recommended to train overseas in Osaka maternal and children's medical center, Japan, and Cincinnati Children's Hospital, the 3rd best children's hospital in USA for over 1 year. In 2015, Dr. Li joined in Redleaf and started his high end medical service. As the chief of the pediatric surgery department, he set up the department and operates smoothly. Dr. Li joined Jiahui Health in 2017. With nearly 20 years of clinical and research work in pediatric surgery, Dr. Li accumulated extensive experience in treating common diseases in pediatric surgery and as a team member to diagnose and treat the severe diseases such as infectious shock and severe acute pancreatitis and other rare disease including conjoint twins and Giant bladder-small bowel-bowel movement dysfunction syndrome. He specializes in laparoscopic appendectomy, hernia repair, orchidopexy, hypospadias repair, and operation of malrotation, intestinal atresia, solid tumor and laparoscopy especially newborn circumcision receives a high praise from Chinese and foreigner's parents.
Dr. Li directed 2 bureau research projects of Shanghai, published 20 papers including 5 SCI, participated to have written a book and have 1 patent.
LI Zhigang (External Specialist), MD, PhD
Dr. LI Zhigang serves as the consultant of Surgery (Specialty in Thoracic Surgery) at Jiahui Health. Dr. Li obtained his M.D. and Ph.D. degree from the Second Military Medical Dr. LI Zhigang serves as the consultant of Surgery (Specialty in Thoracic Surgery) at Jiahui Health. Dr. Li obtained his M.D. and Ph.D. degree from the Second Military Medical University (SMMU) of China, and then completed the surgery and cardiothoracic surgery residency training in Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Department at the Changhai Hospital affiliated to SMMU, and was subsequently hired to work there as an attending surgeon and assistant professor of SMMU. After completing the American Association for Thoracic Surgery (AATS) Graham Fellowship training in the United States in 2012, Dr. Li joined the Shanghai Chest Hospital and has served as the Director of Thoracic Surgery and Director of Esophageal Surgery. Dr. Li has extensive clinical experience of the diagnosis and treatment in all fields of general thoracic surgery, focusing on the precise diagnosis and stratified treatment of lung cancer. He has excellent experience in the treatment of rare and complex diseases in the fields of trachea, mediastinum, and chest wall. LYU Chen, MD, PhD
Dr. LYU Chen serves as section head of Urology Department at Jiahui Health. With 20 years of clinical experience in Urology, Dr. Lyu is experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of urologic diseases, especially in the laparoscopic surgery and robotic-assisted surgery of urologic tumor. He also has extensive experience in the management of men‘s health. Dr. Lyu’s treatment specialties include but are not limited to:
- urologic tumors: renal tumors, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, adrenal tumors, etc.
- urinary stones: kidney stones, ureteral stones, etc.
- voiding dysfunction: benign prostatic hyperplasia, stress urinary incontinence, neurogenic bladder, overactive bladder, etc.
- congenital disease of urinary system: renal cyst and obstruction of ureteropelvic junction, etc.
