Dr. Walter FANG serves as the Chief of Hospital Medicine. Dr. FANG obtained his medical degree (MBBS) from Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in 1995, doctoral degree of medical sciences (MD) from Peking Union Medical College in 2010, and master degree of public health (MPH) from Johns Hopkins University in 2012. Prior to joining Jiahui, he worked at Peking Union Medical College Hospital for 22 years and was appointed the associate professor of medicine and deputy chief of general intimal medicine. He was trained in general internal medicine and hospital medicine as a visiting fellow at University of California San Francisco for a year from 2002 to 2003. Dr. FANG is experienced in medical diagnosis and treatment of the following diseases and health problems:
• Common diseases of internal medicine, such as hypertension, dyslipidemia, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, obesity, and infections, etc.
• Rheumatic diseases, such as gout, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), Sjogren's syndrome (SS), ankylosing spondylitis (AS), polymyositis, dermatomyositis, Behcet's disease, mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD), systemic vasculitis including Takayasu's arteritis, giant cell arteritis, polyarteritis nodosa, ANCA-associated vasculitis, Henoch-Schonlein purpura, antiphospholipid syndrome and other arthritis;
• Clinical challenging cases, such as fever of unknown origin, and other complicated diseases.

Dr. Sungjin HONG is an Internal Medicine Physician at Jiahui Health. Dr. Hong comes from South Korea. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in clinical medicine from Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University in 2006, and completed his residency training at Shanghai General Hospital (Baoshan Branch). From 2006 to 2015, he worked in the department of gastroenterology at Shanghai General Hospital, and in the infectious diseases department (liver disease center) at Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital from 2015 to 2019. He was a visiting scholar at the Asan Medical Center in South Korea and LA Cedars Sinai hospital in the United States. 

Dr. Hong specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases, liver diseases such as alcoholic liver, fatty liver, viral hepatitis (a, b, c, e), drug induced liver injury, autoimmune hepatitis, cirrhosis and complications, liver cancer (HCC, ICC). He is also skilled in treating infectious diseases via the rational use of antibiotics and infection control.

Dr. Hong is a registered member of the Hepatology Group and the Drug Induced Liver Disease Group of the Shanghai Medical Association.

Dr. Jeffrey LI is the attending physician of the Internal Medicine Department at Jiahui Health. Dr. Li obtained his Master Degree in clinical medicine from the Second Military Medical University of Shanghai. He completed his residency in internal medicine and neurology at Shanghai Changzheng Hospital. Prior to joining Jiahui, Dr. Li worked in the neurology department of Shanghai Changzheng Hospital and Tongji Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Tongji University. For the good performance he graduated early from the Renji-Jiahui Hospitalist and Nursing Residents Training Program. Dr. Li has a rich experience in internal medicine, with particular expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of vertigo, headaches, and prevention and treatment of cerebrovascular disease.

He has the teaching experience for clinical medicine students and the residents in the standardized training program. He is currently a youth committee member of the Vestibular Disorders Committee of China Medicine Education Association.

NI Zhao Hui, MD, PhD, Chief Physician, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, and Postdoctoral Supervisor. Currently, she serves as the Director of the Department of General Internal Medicine, Director of Internal Medicine Residency Training, and Director of Internal Medicine Teaching and Research at Renji Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. She is also the Chief Expert and the Chief Professor of Integrated Medicine for the Urinary System at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. Dr. NI has been engaged in clinical and experimental research in the Department of Nephrology at Renji Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine since 1983, accumulating rich clinical experience in nephrology and internal medicine. She served as the Director of the Department of Nephrology at Renji Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine from 2004 to 2020. In 2005 and 2006, she was a visiting scholar at the Yale University School of Medicine VA Medical Center and Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School in the United States.

Dr. NI has been involved in clinical and basic research on the prevention and treatment of acute and chronic kidney diseases. She is skilled in diagnosing and treating various difficult and complicated kidney diseases, including IgA nephropathy, diabetic nephropathy, hypertensive nephrosclerosis, nephrotic syndrome, lupus nephritis, chronic renal insufficiency, hyperuricemia, gouty nephropathy, hematuria, and urinary tract infections. She is particularly adept at integrating traditional Chinese medicine with Western medicine in the treatment of these kidney diseases, including peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis.

In recent years, Dr. NI has been responsible for and has obtained numerous national and provincial-level scientific research projects. As one of the 41 experts in the field of nephrology nationwide, she was selected for the 2024 list of the top 2% scientists in the fields of urology and nephrology (released jointly by Stanford University and the international authoritative publisher Elsevier) and was also included in the 2024 annual pre-release list of the top 1% highly cited scholars by China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI). She has published over 300 academic papers, including more than 100 SCI papers, and has edited or co-edited 14 monographs. She served as the first deputy editor for the Standard Operating Procedures for Peritoneal Dialysis and as a core member of the editorial committee for the Chinese Expert Consensus on the Integrated Treatment of IgA Nephropathy, the Guidelines for the Integrated Prevention and Treatment of Chronic Renal Failure, and the Guidelines for the Integrated Diagnosis and Treatment of Diabetic Nephropathy.
