      We have the most advanced Optos Daytona fundus imaging system for retina disease screening,diagnosis and evaluation. The Zeiss CIRRUS OCT system, providing reliable high-definition images,is used for early detection of glaucoma and macular degenerations.


      The ophthalmology department works closely with other specialties in Jiahui Health and international clinics/hospitals. We provide early detection and management of diabetic eye diseases; assessment for persons with thyroid disease to prevent complications; and ophthalmic screen for children's eye health and development.



    • General ophthalmology: comprehensive eye examination, customized for all population, from school children to corporate executives, including refractive state determination, retina examination, eye diseases screening. 


      Children eye health management: children routine eye examination, visual function tests, and myopia prevention/control management.


      Juvenile strabismus and amblyopia: examination and differential diagnosis, personalized treatment programs.


      Optometry service: eye glasses and contact lens prescription/dispensing, Ortho-K lens and rigid gas permeable contact lens fitting/prescription. 


      Ocular surface diseases: common external eye diseases such as conjunctivitis, corneal diseases, dry eye syndrome, meibomian gland dysfunction, spasm of the eyelids, eyelid tumor, etc.


      Vitreous and retinal diseases: floaters, high myopia, macular degeneration, diagnosis and treatment of retinopathy caused by hypertension, diabetes. 


      Glaucoma and ocular hypertension: screening of ocular hypertension and glaucoma suspect, diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of glaucoma

      Basic eye examination:


      Vision, non-contact intraocular pressure, refraction tests (automated and subjective), visual function assessment, strabismus tests, slit-lamp and fundus examination

      Non-mydriatic fundus photography (JIH hospital), 

      OCT scan for macular and optical nerve (Jiajing Clinic)

      Humphrey visual field tests (Jiajing Clinic)

      General eye procedure: 

      Eye lid procedures including drainage of stye, chalazion excision, entropion and trichiasis correction etc, Botox injection for blepharospasm. Retinal disease treatment including intravitreal injection of therapeutic agent. We also plan to offer oculoplastic procedures (double eyelid, remove eye bags) and strabotomy for children as well as adults.

      Childhood myopia control: 

      Consultation on childhood myopia prevention and control, peripheral defocusing correction glasses, Ortho-K lens fitting and management (Jiajing clinic)


      Dry eye syndrome:

      Dry eye evaluation: tear film break-up time, tear secretion test, lower tear meniscus height and area measurement, meibomian gland infrared photography
      Dry eye treatment: from topical medications such as eye drops, gel or ointment to systematic medication, tear ducts punctal plugs insertion, and world leading therapy for meibomian gland dysfunction. 


      Diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma:

      Screening methods: intraocular pressure measurement (Non-contact and applanation tonometer), macular ganglion cells and retinal nerve fiber layer thickness (Jiajing clinic), central corneal thickness, anatomic anterior chamber studies, Humphrey visual field test (Jiajing clinic).

      Treatment: glaucoma medications


      Retinopathy Screening and management:

      Screening methods: slit-lamp fundus examination (with pupil dilation), Non-mydriatic fundus photography (JIH), OCT macular examination (Jiajing clinic)

      Management: systemic co-management, intravitreal injection of anti-VEGF agents etc

      Dr. CAI Jun serves as the Chief of Ophthalmology at Jiahui Health. He received his Bachelor and Master degrees of Clinical Medicine from Shanghai Second Medical University (current Shanghai Jiaotong University, School of Medicine). He completed his internship and residency in Renji Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University, School of Medicine. He worked as an ophthalmologist in Renji Hospital for more than 22 years. During that period, he accepted advanced training of retinal surgery in Shanghai General Hospital, and overseas training of vitreoretinal surgery in The University of Kansas, Medical Center & Georgetown Hospital in America. Dr. Cai has rich experiences in ophthalmology, he specializes in minimally invasive vitreoretinal surgery, cataract surgery, glaucoma surgery, ocular trauma and management of ocular surgical complications.


      Prior to joining Jiahui, Dr. Cai worked in a non-public Eye Hospital in Shanghai and served as Vice President and Chair of Fundus Diseases. During the time, he also served as Vice Chairman of Ophthalmic training center Eye Hospital Group.


      Dr. Cai is a member of the Standing Committee of Ophthalmology of Shanghai Association of Social Medical Institutions. He once served as a member of vitreoretinology group of Shanghai Medical Association Ophthalmology Branch, and deputy director of Ophthalmic Imaging and Information Sub-committee of Ophthalmology Professional Committee of China Association of Non-public Medical Institutions.


      Moreover, Dr. Cai always engages in ophthalmic clinical innovation, got 2 patents, and won 3rd prizes in invention competition in Shanghai. He published his new methods of surgery and treatment in Congress of European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) and in Congress of Chinese Ophthalmological Society (CCOS) several times and published his papers in domestic core journals.

      Dr. Frank WU serves as an ophthalmologist at Jiahui Health.
