ZHONG Jie (External Specialist), MD, PhD

Dr. ZHONG Jie, MD, PhD, doctoral supervisor, once served as Chief of the Department of Gastroenterology at Ruijin Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. Dr. ZHONG has been engaged in basic research and clinical diagnosis and treatment of digestive diseases at Ruijin Hospital for many years. He underwent training at the Department of Internal Medicine B, University of Muenster Medical School in Germany in 1997, and at the Endoscopy Center of Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School in the United States in 2001.
Dr. ZHONG has rich clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of common digestive diseases, especially complex and challenging cases. He specializes in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory bowel disease, small intestinal diseases, unexplained gastrointestinal bleeding, and various endoscopic procedures.
Dr. ZHONG is a committee member of: 1) the 6th National Committee of the Chinese Society of Digestive Endoscopy, 2) the Small Intestinal Diseases Group under the Chinese Society of Gastroenterology, 3) the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Group under the Chinese Society of Gastroenterology, and 4) the Gastrointestinal Tumor Group under the Chinese Society of Digestive Diseases. He is also the Deputy Head of the Shanghai Small Intestinal Diseases Group under the Shanghai Society of Digestive Diseases. He also serves as an editor for five professional journals and has published 126 research articles (47 of which are SCI-indexed). He has edited two monographs and contributed to 25 academic books.

ZHANG Yingfan(External Specialist), MD, PhD

Dr. ZHANG Yingfan, M.D., is currently the Associate Chief Physician and Associate Professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the Ninth People's Hospital affiliated with Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine. Dr. ZHANG has been engaged in the clinical work of plastic surgery for nearly 20 years, focusing on details and pursuing the harmony and beauty of the overall facial features.
Dr. ZHANG has published more than 50 medical papers since he started his medical career, including more than 10 SCI-indexed articles in English. He has undertaken the National Natural Science Foundation of China and one Natural Science Foundation of Shanghai Municipality, and was awarded the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and is the first case of Chinese plastic surgery to have his academic papers published in The New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM).
