    1-A government-designated vaccine site

The Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council announced on March 29, 2021, that Shanghai would begin allowing foreigners in the appropriate age range to receive domestically-developed COVID-19 vaccinations on the basis that they are informed, voluntary and willing to be inoculated at their own costs and bear corresponding risks.

But, while there is strong demand for the COVID-19 vaccine among foreigners, many found it difficult to secure an appointment.

Designating the hospital as a vaccination site specifically for foreigners aims at a smoother and more efficient rollout of the jab to the foreign community [1].

Thankfully, Jiahui International Hospital has become a designated COVID-19 vaccination site for foreigners in Shanghai, recognized by the Municipal Health Commission and Xuhui District Health Commission.

    2-1 day, 400 vaccinations

As one of the designated institutions for foreigners to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, Jiahui International Hospital is now open for appointments via the "Healthcare Cloud" (Jiankang yun) app. On April 18th alone, nearly 400 foreigners registered and completed their first dose of vaccination at Jiahui International Hospital [1].

Jiahui’s mission is to be a trusted health partner for you and your family. We are always ready to provide considerate and reliable medical services to every patient.

After making an appointment on the "Healthcare Cloud" platform, bring your foreign permanent resident ID card, passport or valid stay or residence permit to the Jiahui Vaccination Center. Before receiving the vaccine, you will be asked to sign a letter of informed consent, a disclaimer and other bilingual documents under the guidance of Jiahui staff.

Before vaccination, the nurse will show you the name of the vaccine, the place of production, the manufacturer and other information.

After the vaccination is completed, the nurse will give you a blue sticker showing the start and end time for your 30 minute observation period, which you can spend in a comfortable room next to where you receive the vaccine.

Once you have received two doses of the vaccine, you will be issued a bilingual copy of the government-approved COVID-19 vaccination certificate.

    3-350 weekend vaccine slots available

Starting May 22, 2021, Jiahui will select one day every weekend to hold a special weekend vaccination session in the lecture hall on the first floor of the hospital. Appointments slots will be available during the following periods

    Morning 8:00-12:00

    Afternoon 13:00 - 17:00

    ○ The weekend vaccine sessions will provide 350 appointment slots throughout the day, or about 40 per hour (subject to actual conditions). For future sessions, appointment booking will become available every Wednesday at 10:00 AM, so be ready to book your appointment.↓
